The location of this hotel is simply breathtaking. Surrounded by the stunning Catskills mountains, it sits right beside a beautiful lake in summer. I was amazed by the picturesque views all around.
There was nothing I didn't like.

I had such a wonderful time staying at this charming hotel nestled next to a picturesque lake. the location was simply breathtaking, with stunning views of the surrounding area. the hotel had a variety of activities available, such as snowshoeing and cross country skiing, which added to the overall experience. the room was spacious and clean, and I especially enjoyed the balcony that overlooked the serene lake. the staff were friendly and accommodating, and the included breakfast was delicious. It was truly a relaxing and enjoyable stay.
One minor downside was the occasional noise from other guests, as the sound seemed to carry throughout the hotel.

Well run. Most of the staff focused on making you happy and your stay as enjoyable as possible. Like the feeling of everything being included. Don't feel nickel and dimed to death, although you are paying for it. Like being on a cruise without being on a cruise. Friendly, comfortable environment.
Saturday night was the only busy night and some of the staff seemed unable to handle the stress. Long wait for dinner even with a reservation. At dinner, when we were finally seated, they ran out of some main courses. Their security employees made you feel like you were at a summer camp. Felt like you were on your own if there was a real problem, and you really are far from everywhere.

We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel! The location high up the mountains provided breathtaking views of the surrounding scenery. The service was top-notch, with friendly staff always ready to assist us. The room amenities, including ironing facilities and Wi-Fi, ensured that we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The dining options were fantastic, with a delicious continental breakfast and a restaurant buffet offering a wide variety of dishes to choose from.
I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

The location in the heart of the mountain on an idyllic lake is what makes Mohonk a unique an truly worthwhile vacation destination. The layout of the hotel and surrounding area, the trails, the exquisite gardens, endless activities to try, delicious buffet meals, breathtaking vistas, refreshing swimming area, and of course the abundant rocking chairs overlooking it all cannot be found all together as a unit at any other location I have ever visited. Not to be overlooked was the delightful staff. Disney is renowned for its smoothly run facilities and unrelentlessly caring stafff...Mohonk out does them.
What didn't I like about Mohonk, if anything...it is pricey, but defintely worth the experience.

Great views and delicious food from the restaurant overlooking the valley. the staff was friendly and attentive. the rooms were cozy and comfortable. Location was secluded and offered a peaceful retreat. the outdoor hot tub was a great way to relax.
Overpriced for the lack of modern amenities. the room was small and outdated, with old-fashioned furniture.

Great spot with fantastic views. Charming place, but a little pricey.
My girlfriend was on crutches and the spa was far away from our room. For such a upscale spa you would think they would of put us in a room much closer to spa. Especially since we told them before our arrival our situation. Also spa not easily accessible for handicapped.

The scenery, food, lake, its breathtaking, comfort,
The additional taxes they add onto the room rate is outrageous.

It has a nice mix of everything I love. Great hiking trails with incredible views, an eco-friendly spa without the use of chlorines or harsh chemicals,a beautiful indoor pool, yoga and meditation classes and great food and service! Aa perfect spot to go with friends. We have been going every year for the last 5 years!

I love Mohonk...been going there for years! It is a magical secret place.. Hidden on top of A mountain! The View is breath taking, the people And staff are amazing! You meet good friendly People. When you leave...you know in your Heart... I Will be returning! It is my secret place...not to far home. Jeanne Grillo
The only thing I think they could improve on is: The Bar must stay open past 11:00 pm! I am not much of a drinker... It is where all the People like to meet and talk and learn about Each other! I believe I will see these people again next year And, that was the place we first had our conversation.
